The starting point

Player
assessment

Nobody is coached against a guess. The first session measures where a player is, and the plan comes from what it finds.

What is assessed

Six areas, in one session.

01

Technical

Batting, bowling or keeping actions on video, broken down frame by frame.

02

Tactical

Decisions under match conditions — what was chosen, and what else was available.

03

Mental

How composure holds as the situation tightens.

04

Physical

Movement quality, range and the patterns that carry injury risk.

05

Nutrition

Fuelling and recovery around training, discussed rather than prescribed.

06

Education

How well the player can already explain their own game.

What you get

A report you can act on.

The report is written down and it is yours. You keep it whether you book another session or not.

01A score in each of the six areas, so the starting point is on record.
02Two or three priorities for the next block, and why those and not others.
03The drills that address them, and how to tell whether they are working.
04What is deliberately being left alone for now.
Video and consent

Nothing is filmed without a yes.

Video is how a technical fault gets shown instead of described. For a player under 18, it needs a parent's recorded consent first.

Consent is asked on the registration form, held against the player's record, and can be withdrawn at any time. Without it on file, the assessment runs without a camera.

Where it leads

The assessment is the plan.

The priorities it produces are what the next block of sessions works on. At the end of the block the same measures run again, so change is shown rather than claimed.

Start with an assessment

Development starts by understanding the player. Book an assessment and you leave with written development priorities — whether you continue or not.
